Rutledge Recruitment is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for opportunities in Private Nursing Homes in the Belfast and surrounding areas. Flexible day and night shifts are available to suit your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised patient care
- Monitoring and accurately recording residents’ clinical observations (e.g., pulse, temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation)
- Administering medications and treatments in line with NMC guidelines and organisational policies
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date, and legally compliant patient records
- Supervising and supporting junior staff, including Care Assistants
- Acting as Nurse in Charge when required and managing the shift effectively
- Leading and delegating workloads appropriately to ensure safe staffing levels
- Liaising with GPs, allied health professionals, residents, and families
- Ensuring safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety standards are maintained at all times
- Responding appropriately to emergencies and clinical deterioration
Essential Requirements:
- Fully qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with no restrictions on practice
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience working as a Nurse or Nurse in Charge within a Nursing Home setting in Belfast
- Demonstrable experience in medication management and leading a shift
- Sound knowledge of elderly care, dementia care, and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced AccessNI check
- Eligibility to work in the UK
