JOB OVERVIEW:
Regent’s Park Healthcare are looking for an Administrator to work within the administration team at the Peninsula Heart Clinic. The right candidate should have 2 years administration experience ideally within NHS or other healthcare settings, strong IT skills and have an outgoing and friendly attitude. The work can be highly demanding, therefore, the ability to prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines is also essential.
HOURS:
Shifts are assigned across Monday to Sat, typically covering 8am - 8pm with full time hours equating to 37.5 per week. We expect there will be no requirement to work Bank Holidays without prior & mutual agreement.
SALARY:
£25, 685+/year, depending on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· To liaise effectively and efficiently with (but not limited to) the following individuals/organisations:
◦ Consultants and their secretaries;
◦ Patients and their relatives;
◦ Referring GP’s and their offices;
◦ Private medical insurance companies;
◦ Clinical staff;
◦ NHS Trust staff;
◦ Self-Payers; and
◦ Other third-party organisations.
· To manage correspondence and telephone enquiries speedily and accurately;
· To book patients for outpatient and Cath Lab procedures onto IT systems;
· To prepare medical notes and other clinical information in preparation for a clinical session, ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly and no notes are missing;
· To ensure all payments for self-payers are collected on the same day as their clinic visit wherever possible;
· To type letters and other correspondence accurately and swiftly;
· To ensure a log of any payments received is completed on a weekly basis and updated on the appropriate management systems;
· To provide clinic receptionist duties if required to do so;
· To maintain inventory of supplies;
· To collaborate closely with medical staff, department heads, and other administrators to support effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving;
· To undertake mandatory training relevant to the role to remain compliant with our ways of working;
· Any other duties that may be required consistent with the nature and grade of the post.
