Job Purpose
The Front of House Waiter/Waitress will oversee the functions of an exciting new catering provision Café Bryn Euryn, based in Mochdre. In addition to serving good quality homemade food and drinks, the café will also provide a training provision and vocational experience for young people and adults with Learning Disabilities to learn and develop skills and knowledge required to work in a catering environment. The postholder will also work with the Team Coordinator and the Cook to plan and deliver a high quality, catering business alongside a high-quality support provision for people we support in collaboration with internal and external partners. The Front of House Waiter/Waitress will support young people and adults with Learning Disabilities to develop their skills in all functions of Front of House working to a clear progression plan through services including links with education, supported employment and volunteering in response to their assessed outcomes and agreed support plans.
This role also includes building effective working relationships with families, customers and all stakeholders including local authorities to develop meaningful employability and life skills that will enable them to make choices and take control of their lives.
The Front of House Waiter/Waitress will be accountable for escalating to the line manager any areas of concern so that necessary actions are taken appropriately and in a timely way.
