Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. Duties
- Washing, drying, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock management
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Ensuring all health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times to promote a safe working environment
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality service
