Job Description:
We are a well-established business specializing in the sale of vehicles and spares. With a strong reputation in the industry. We are currently seeking a reliable and physically fit Yard Operative / Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload vehicles and goods
- Wrap, pack, and prepare items for storage or dispatch
- Maintain the yard and warehouse in a clean, organised condition
- Accurately complete relevant paperwork and stock records
- Carry out general yard duties including pressure washing, sweeping, and weed removal
- Assist with basic vehicle checks and jump starting where needed
Essential Requirements:
- Valid counterbalance forklift truck licence and relevant experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in a similar warehouse or yard-based role
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting
- Mechanically minded and comfortable working around vehicles
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience with vehicle parts
- Basic mechanical knowledge (e.g. jump starting vehicles)
