We are seeking an exceptional Head of Health and Science to lead a high-profile and strategically critical area, central to the Greater Manchester skills agenda and key regional priorities, including the Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF).
You will shape a responsive, employer-led curriculum that meets workforce demand across health and life sciences, while representing the College in regional and national networks and development groups.
Ideally, you will:
- Lead a diverse curriculum across 16–18, adult, and apprenticeship provision
- Drive excellence in teaching, learning and outcomes
- Contribute to GM-wide skills priorities and LSIF delivery
- Build strong partnerships with NHS and scientific employers
- Support and develop staff, including industry specialists transitioning into teaching and dual professionals
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong leadership experience in FE, HE, or industry
- Exceptional pedagogical expertise and a track record of improving quality
- Experience across multiple provision types (young people, adults, apprenticeships)
- A passion for developing staff, particularly those new to teaching from industry
- The ability to operate strategically and influence beyond the College
