Mayday Personnel have an exciting opportunity to join a local reputable company as a Accounts Administrator near the Totton area of Southampton! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic business with a fun and vibrant working environment on either a permanent to temp to perm basis.

Admin duties:
- Answering the telephone and passing on calls/messages
- Reception duties such as greeting and looking after visitors
- Organising/reordering stationery
- Setting up meetings and producing minutes
- Daily updates on staff location board
- Maintaining filing systems
- Manage a client excel job spreadsheet from enquiry to job completion (trackers)
- Liaise with suppliers & on site personnel to ensure smooth delivery of goods to clients
- Maintain property defects via OPUS and liaise with company Site Manager as required
- Manage a reminder system to ensure that all properties remain compliant in terms of statutory gas and electrical checks
- Website updates, adding news items, adding to the gallery and liaising with the web developers
- Assisting with the organisation of company events
Accounts duties:
- Raise client sales invoices on Sage and client portal as required and allocation of remittance payments
- Supplier invoice, checks and payment including HUSK (fuel account)
- Raising payments to suppliers on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
- Management of petty cash
- Debtor payment and chasing
- Employee expense receipts and reconciliation
- Monthly ratification of employee and subcontractor hours/payments and CIS payments to HMRC as required
- Process monthly payroll via Sage and upload to bank
- Create a purchase order and email to supplier
Skills/Experience:
- Previous office experience in the above required.
- Must be competent on Sage
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft and Outlook) basic Excel spreadsheet knowledge including formula’s
- High attention to detail
- Enthusiastic and self motivated (occasional lone working may be required)
- Being dog friendly is a must!
Working Hours:
- Monday - Friday
- 9am - 5pm
- Immediate start available!
Salary:
- £24,570 - £30,000 per year / £13.50 - £16.48ph (DOE)
