To provide excellent customer service and support the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy country pub by assisting across all departments, including bar service, food service, opening and closing down the business and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
•Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
•Take food and drink orders accurately.
•Resolve basic customer queries and complaints promptly.
•Ensure guests have an enjoyable dining and drinking experience.
Bar Operations
•Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
•Operate tills and handle cash/card transactions.
•Maintain cleanliness and stock levels behind the bar.
•Follow licensing laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
Food Service
•Serve meals efficiently and professionally.
•Clear and reset tables promptly.
•Assist with food running during busy periods.
•Maintain high standards of presentation in dining areas.
Kitchen Support
•Assist with basic food preparation when required.
•Wash dishes and kitchen equipment.
•Ensure food hygiene and safety procedures are followed.
•Support kitchen staff during peak service times.
Housekeeping and Maintenance
•Clean customer areas, restrooms, and workspaces.
•Assist with opening and closing duties.
•Help maintain a safe, tidy, and welcoming pub environment.
•Report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
