We are looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our Building Services on a part-time, maternity cover basis. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our College provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Working under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader, you will carry out a full range of internal and external cleaning duties, reporting any faults, hazards, or incidents as required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.

Maintain cleanliness of designated areas to agreed standards.
- Clean classrooms, offices, laboratories, corridors, stairways, entrances, and event spaces.
- Clean internal glass, mirrors, windows, and doors.
- Undertake occasional deep cleaning tasks, including toilets and specialist cleans during holiday periods.
- Report faults, damage, incidents, and potential hazards in line with procedures.
- Follow all Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and support the College’s aims and objectives.

Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience in a cleaning role within an education, industrial, or similar environmen
- Ability to carry out physical and manual work, including prolonged standin
- Understanding of Health & Safety practices and safe systems of work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Polite, helpful, and professional approach at all times
