Job Overview
We are seeking a very experienced and passionate Head Chef for our new lounge/ restaurant to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise worked in a Michelin Star or Roastte cooking Environment a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and inspire your team to achieve excellence in food preparation and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our menu offerings and uphold the highest standards of hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards
- Manage menu development, incorporating innovative ideas while maintaining consistency and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste and optimise resources
- Train and mentor staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service skills
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Assist in serving guests when required, providing excellent customer service and representing the restaurant’s brand
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Passion for innovation in cuisine and dedication to delivering outstanding guest experiences
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
