Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled weekend Breakfast Chef to join our friendly kitchen team. The ideal person will have a strong background in food preparation, with a commitment to delivering high-quality breakfasts and brunches in a fast-paced environment. As a Breakfast Chef, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards for quality, taste and presentation, while adhering to food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, ensuring timely service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards
- Adhere to all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and communication during service
- To create an exciting buzz and deliver the best service
Key skills
- Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef within a coffee bar, cafe or commercial kitchen
- A genuine passion for the quality, taste and presentation of house cooked breakfast and brunch
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
- Demonstrating positivity and energy with a pro-active attitude
