An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well established small animal group in Ayrshire, with roles available across both Ayr and Irvine.
This is a genuinely supportive and busy first opinion environment with a strong clinical team already in place. The practices see a varied caseload and offer a great balance between medical nursing, theatre work, inpatient care and nurse consults.
There is flexibility for someone to work primarily within either Ayr or Irvine, or split their time between both depending on preference. Both practices work very similarly day to day.
The team currently includes multiple vets(12), RVNs and support staff, creating a collaborative environment with plenty of support available for both newly qualified and more experienced nurses.
The Role:
- Full or part time considered
- Typically 3–4 days per week
- 1 in 4 Saturdays only (9am–5pm)
- No Sundays
- Mixture of theatre, inpatient care, consults and schedule 3 opportunities
- Opportunity to develop further clinical interests and certificates
The Practice:
- Busy first opinion caseload
- Supportive and experienced nursing team
- Modern facilities and strong client base
The Package:
- Salary up to £35,000 DOE
- Supportive CPD culture
- Certificate support encouraged
- Friendly and collaborative team environment
- Generous Continuing Professional Development allowance
- Paid professional fees (RCVS, BVNA, VDS)
- Enhanced maternity pay
They are open to both newly qualified RVNs and experienced nurses, with attitude and team fit being just as important as experience.
