Role Summary
NorthHouse are seeking a Finance & Business Administrator to support the day-to-day running of the business across studio operations, administration, finance, people, legal, and operational processes.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, this role acts as a central point of coordination across the business, ensuring the studio is well maintained, administrative processes run smoothly, and business systems remain organised and up to date.
This is a highly varied role, supporting internal teams, suppliers, and external advisors while helping maintain the operational standards that enable NorthHouse to deliver exceptional work.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations & Facilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for studio-related issues and maintenance
- Manage communication with the landlord, building management, cleaners, and service providers
- Coordinate studio access, security systems, alarms, and utilities
- Ensure the studio is maintained as a professional, organised, and functional working environment
- Manage office supplies, refreshments, and workplace consumables
- Coordinate deliveries, couriers, and incoming/outgoing shipments
- Support Health & Safety administration, Fire Marshal responsibilities, and workplace compliance
- Support internal events, client visits, and studio logistics
Business Administration
- Manage company calendars, meeting coordination, and internal scheduling
- Support business administration, record keeping, and document management
- Support travel, accommodation, and logistics for projects, events, and company activities
- Assist with company events, team socials, and internal initiatives
- Support business development administration, including referral schemes and CRM administration
- Maintain company records, registrations, and statutory documentation
- Track business renewals, key dates, and compliance deadlines
- Coordinate signatures, approvals, and company paperwork
Finance Administration
- Manage bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
- Process supplier invoices, expenses, and payment documentation
- Support payroll administration and overtime tracking
- Prepare and organise information for the accountant
- Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting where required
- Support R&D tax credit submissions and associated documentation
HR, Legal & Operational Support
- Coordinate onboarding for new starters
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Manage holiday tracking, sickness records, and appointment leave administration
- Support recruitment, performance reviews, and people-related processes
- Coordinate the issuing and management of contracts, NDAs, and company documentation
- Support visa, right-to-work, and employment-related administration
- Maintain contract, insurance, and compliance records
- Track contract expiry, insurance renewal, and compliance dates
Systems, Freelancers & Project Support
- Maintain internal administrative systems and databases
- Support the organisation and management of company files, drives, and documentation
- Maintain freelancer records, rates, availability, and documentation
- Support Producers with project administration, travel, logistics, and project documentation where appropriate

Candidate Requirements
Required Experience
- Experience in an administrative, operations, office management, or business support role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience coordinating multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with business systems, documentation, and records
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and common business software
Nice to Have
- Experience in a creative agency, studio, production company, or project-based environment
- Exposure to bookkeeping, payroll, or finance administration
- Experience supporting HR, onboarding, or recruitment processes
- Experience coordinating travel, events, or project logistics
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
