Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Street Food Vendor to join us in our new street food adventure. This role involves preparing and selling a variety of delicious hot dogs from outside a well known craft brewery taproom, engaging with customers, and promoting our brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a genuine opportunity to climb aboard a brand new business at the early stages of development and help us grow. Located on the Bermondsey beer mile we offer a diverse and happy environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of street food items in accordance with health and safety standards
- Set up and pack down food stall at various locations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Promote products through effective marketing techniques to attract more customers
- Manage card transactions accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the stall, equipment, and surrounding area
- Collect feedback from customers to improve service quality and product offerings
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
- Previous experience in customer service or food sales is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of basic marketing principles to promote products effectively
- Passion for street food culture and culinary innovation
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle busy periods calmly
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and evenings if required
- Valid food handling or hygiene certification is preferred but not mandatory
