We are looking for a proactive, caring, compassionate person to join our Active Living Team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work within various sectors of our company. Successful candidates will be required to move between providing breaks for unpaid carers in their homes and supporting our team in the Day Centre or with the weekly groups. Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle is required for this role. You may be asked, on occasion, to drive the minibus taking service users out but will be given support to enable you to confidently do this. Because of this, we are hoping the successful candidates will have a D1 category on their driving licence.
This is a bank position and are looking for candidates who will be available 0900-1700, Monday to Friday.
As an Active Living Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting unpaid carers with respite breaks
- Support with organised group activities for people with care needs
- When required, to plan and deliver a bespoke Active Living service, using the care plan as guidance.
- Assist clients to the bathroom and with other general care needs.
- During the activity, to assist those clients participate in their chosen activity.
- To support the person with care needs with activities outside their home, for example, community activities, shopping or attending medical appointments.
- To assist with mobility, prepare meals and drinks and/or to help with eating / drinking and to support the person with care needs with their medication.
