Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the quality standards of our products through rigorous inspection, analysis, and adherence to quality assurance protocols. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about quality control and continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role involves working closely with production teams to ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations, contributing to the overall success of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and measure incoming parts to ensure they meet design specifications.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming parts, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Triage production line defects, raise problem reports, and support actions through to resolution.
- Provide inspection support to production and engineering teams, including visual and dimensional checks of parts and assemblies as required.
- Assist stores and inventory teams with stock takes and related activities when needed.
- Work in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Quality Technician within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of containment actions and immediate corrective measures.
- Proven experience inspecting components, with familiarity in a range of inspection methods and equipment.
- Fully conversant with technical drawings, including the ability to accurately interpret 2D and 3D design data.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with a high level of competency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities.
Desirable:
- Experience in structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys).
- Formal engineering qualification.
- Experience using Confluence and Airtable
