About the role
Are you a customer-focused leader looking for an exciting and varied role in a vibrant arts environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic manager to lead our front-of-house operations, where you will be supported in managing a diverse team of volunteers and staff to help put Cornerstone on the national stage.
Essential criteria for the role
Your essential skills, knowledge and experience
- Experience of supervising staff
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication with staff and customers
- Aptitude for short and long term logistical planning and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to make decisive, calm judgments under pressure
Key responsibilities for the role
Operational Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for the public, ensuring the effective and safe delivery of all performances, events, and classes.
Safety and Security: Responsibility for the building’s security, including locking/unlocking the venue and conducting regular fire safety and health and safety checks.
Team Coordination: Oversee and train operational staff and volunteers to ensure the highest standards of customer care and box office accuracy.
Event and Hire Management: Logistically plan and deliver meetings and conferences, including setting up rooms and managing the hires database and contracts.
Compliance and Licensing: Ensure all operations strictly adhere to health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and the venue’s operating licenses.
