A cheffing opportunity has come up at Verdant’s Seafood Bar for a junior chef with all the skills and enthusiasm to join the small kitchen team here in making innovative and, above all, super tasty seafood small plates for the good people of Falmouth, and a few from elsewhere too.
The Seafood Bar is our little bar based on Quay Hill in Falmouth, it’s small but prides itself on delivering some of the finest Seafood Falmouth has to offer. Small plates of premium locally sourced seafood put together into interesting dishes that complement the beer and wine on offer.
- Running their own station during service, consistently preparing outstanding plates of food
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and kitchen equipment
- Prepping and cleaning throughout shifts to ensure smooth service
- Communicating effectively with the Front of House team to maintain the level of service and unbeatable atmosphere of the Seafood Bar
- Be aware of food safety legislation to maintain a 5* rating
- Experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a seafood restaurant
- Strong knowledge of food and culinary expertise
- Ability to work in a small team (and a small kitchen) in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisation skills
- Ability to prep and cook a high volume of food
