Physics Teacher – Secondary School in Enfield

A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join their Science department from September, This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for the remainder of the academic year, with the successful candidate teaching Physics across KS3–KS5.

The Physics Role
You will be teaching Physics across the full age range, with a particular emphasis on KS5. Although the sixth form cohort is not large, the school is committed to providing high-quality A-Level teaching and giving students the individual attention they need to thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured Physics lessons across KS3–KS5
- Ensuring high standards in behaviour, participation, and academic progress
- Working collaboratively with a supportive Science department
- Contributing to wider school life where appropriate
Who We’re Looking For
The school is open to qualified and unqualified specialists. Priority will be given to:
- Teachers with QTS
- ECTs looking for a supportive school to continue their development
However, the school will also consider talented Unqualified Teachers (UQT) who can demonstrate proven UK classroom experience and strong subject knowledge in Physics.
Pay & Contract Details
- Start date: September 2026
- Contract: Permanent
- Pay: £37870 - £50474 (if qualified-dependent on experience)
- Qualified Teachers: Paid in line with the Outer London Main Pay Scale
- Unqualified Teachers: Paid in line with the Outer London UQT Scale
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the school for:
- A lesson observation
- A follow-up discussion with the Head of Science and SLT
Successful candidates will formally commence the role in January 2026.
