Recovery Worker – Substance Misuse Services
Location: Bromley
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary Contract
Pay Rate: £22 – £24 per hour
Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Recovery Worker to join a specialist substance misuse service in Bromley on a temporary full-time basis.

The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with service users from initial assessment through to ongoing recovery support, helping individuals access the services and interventions needed to make positive long-term changes.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting adults affected by drug and alcohol misuse while promoting independence, resilience, and social reintegration.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of service users within recovery services
- Completing assessments, recovery plans, and risk assessments
- Supporting individuals through structured treatment and recovery pathways
- Delivering harm reduction advice and health education
- Coordinating referrals to health, housing, and community support services
- Working collaboratively with external agencies and healthcare professionals
- Maintaining accurate case notes and service records
- Supporting engagement with peer support and recovery networks
- Promoting safeguarding and wellbeing at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience within substance misuse, recovery, mental health, or related support services
- Strong understanding of drug and alcohol recovery approaches
- Experience managing caseloads and supporting vulnerable adults
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong organisational and IT skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management procedures
