Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves supporting meal preparation, food safety, and service in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality food and excellent customer experiences, ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable kitchen experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
- Ensure food safety protocols are adhered to at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Help with general kitchen duties such as cleaning utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Support serving staff by preparing items for service and ensuring timely delivery of meals
- Deliver friendly and effective customer service
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to promote a safe working environment
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant settings is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of food preparation and meal assembly techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn new culinary skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen environment
