We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing foodservice sales team across Northern Ireland. This is a key leadership role focused on driving regional growth, winning new business, and strengthening relationships with key customers and distributor partners.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & Business Development
- Deliver regional sales targets through strong leadership and performance management
- Identify, target, and secure new foodservice customers
- Develop and grow key accounts through strategic planning and hands-on support
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover opportunities and mitigate risks
Team Management & Development
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of field-based Sales Representatives
- Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and training sessions
- Set clear KPIs, objectives, and action plans to drive individual and team success
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Distributor & Channel Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional distributors
- Work closely with distributor sales teams to support shared customers
- Execute joint business plans, promotions, and new product launches
- Drive category growth through effective channel engagement
Performance & Reporting
- Analyse sales data to track performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Provide regular updates on targets, forecasts, and market developments
- Support accurate forecasting and business planning processes
About YouEssential
- Proven track record in foodservice or FMCG sales (field-based experience preferred)
- Experience leading and managing a sales team
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with distributor networks
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Full, clean driving licence
Desirable
- Third-level qualification in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Knowledge of the Irish foodservice market
- Experience using CRM systems and Excel reporting tools
