Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-time Swimming Teacher to join our family run swim school. The ideal candidate will have a level 2 qualification with either the STA or Swim England and a strong background in swimming teaching, with the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in learners of all ages and skill levels. This role offers Saturday hours during school term time so can be fit in around another job or studying. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging swimming lessons, ensuring safety, and working as part of our supportive and positive team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality swimming lessons tailored to individual needs and abilities
- Plan and organise lesson programmes that promote skill development and confidence in the water
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed during lessons
- Maintain a clean and organised poolside environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding progress and safety concerns
Experience
- Proven experience in swimming teaching
- Level 2 qualified. STA Certificate in swimming teaching or Swim England level 2 in teaching swimming.
- Ability to motivate learners and create an inclusive, positive atmosphere
- Previous experience working with children or adults of varying ability levels is desirable
- Certification in lifesaving or first aid is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
