Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful applicant will be organised, able to work under pressure, and committed to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks in accordance with company standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
- Keep the workspace clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers politely and professionally.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as required, including handling light food items or snacks.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
