We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor, Bodyshop Estimator, or Automotive Estimator to join our busy and growing accident repair centre in Sherburn in Elmet. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading repair technology, manufacturer-approved processes, and a team committed to delivering outstanding vehicle repairs.
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and supporting the smooth progression of repairs from assessment through to completion.
You will work closely with technicians, workshop teams, insurers, engineers, and customers to ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest manufacturer standards.
Carry out detailed vehicle damage assessments on cars and light commercial vehicles
Prepare accurate repair estimates using Audatex
Identify appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines
Liaise with insurers, engineers, and customers to obtain repair authorisations
Work closely with technicians and production teams to support efficient repair scheduling
Ensure estimates, documentation, and repair records are completed accurately and compliantly
Monitor repair progress and provide updates where required
Deliver an excellent customer experience throughout the repair journey
Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and attention to detail
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, VDA, Bodyshop Estimator, or Automotive Estimator
Experience within an accident repair centre, bodyshop, or vehicle repair environment
Strong knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and estimating procedures
Experience using Audatex estimating systems
ATA, IMI, or NVQ qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
A full UK driving licence
