Finance Transformation Director
Location: Chesterfield (Office-based with occasional home working)
Salary: £70k- £80k + Bonus
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

As the Group continues to grow and invest in technology, data and innovation, they are seeking an experienced and ambitious Finance Transformation Director to lead the modernisation of the finance function and help shape the future of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Transformation & Technology
- Develop and deliver the Group's finance transformation roadmap.
- Lead finance systems implementations, upgrades and integrations.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and digital technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability.
- Support wider business transformation projects across the organisation.
Leadership & Change Management
- Provide leadership and direction to colleagues involved in transformation and systems initiatives.
- Coach and develop teams to strengthen technical, analytical and commercial capabilities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Lead change programmes and ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
- Support succession planning and talent development within the finance function.
Data, Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Enhance management reporting and business intelligence capabilities.
- Develop dashboards and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
- Improve data quality, governance and accessibility across the organisation.
- Provide leadership teams with timely, accurate and actionable insights.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage multiple transformation projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Present business cases, recommendations and progress updates to the Executive Team and Board.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ensure projects deliver measurable operational and financial benefits.
About You
We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for transformation and people development.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong background in finance transformation, systems implementation and project delivery.
- Experience leading organisational change programmes.
- Advanced data and reporting skills, with Power BI experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, reporting and business intelligence platforms.
- Exposure to AI, automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills.
