Are you passionate about helping children and young people feel safe, supported and able to thrive? We are looking for a caring, resilient and committed Residential Childcare Practitioner to join our team and provide high-quality support within a nurturing residential setting.
About the Role
As a Residential Childcare Practitioner, you will be part of a dedicated team delivering a comprehensive residential service for children and young people. Your focus will be on promoting their physical, social and emotional wellbeing, while helping them build confidence, resilience and positive routines.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times.
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing environment with clear routines and boundaries.
- Acting as a positive role model and building trusted, professional relationships.
- Supporting individual and group activities that encourage confidence, engagement and development.
- Helping children and young people develop positive behaviours and coping strategies.
- Working closely with colleagues and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

You will be someone who is compassionate, reliable and able to stay calm in challenging situations. You will understand the importance of safeguarding, consistency and teamwork, and you will be motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.
