Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented member of our Finance Team specialising in Credit Control, Accounts Administration, and Freight Forwarding. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate account records, and supporting the organisation’s financial operations. Duties
- Manage credit control processes by monitoring overdue accounts and following up with clients to ensure timely payments
- Perform data entry tasks accurately within Xero and our freight platform
- Assist with accounts payable functions, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly and promptly
- Maintain comprehensive records of transactions related to freight forwarding activities
- Support accounts administration by preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and maintaining organised documentation
- Conduct analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or potential improvements in credit management procedures
- Liaise with clients via phone using professional phone etiquette to resolve account issues and facilitate collections
- Collaborate with the team when necessary to support client outreach initiatives related to outstanding payments
Requirements
- Proven experience within a finance environment specialising in credit control and accounts administration
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of financial services, freight forwarding processes, and accounts payable procedures
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data effectively
- Outstanding phone etiquette and communication skills for client interactions
- Experience with telemarketing or client outreach is advantageous
- Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team player
- Organised approach with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: £34,420.00-£45,000.00 per year
