Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, local, practical and hard working Quarry Operative to join our team based in our Tan y Foel Quarry (SY21 0AN). The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and ideally have experience in operating large mobile plant (360 Excavators , Articulated Dump trucks or Farm machinery) this is desirable but not a necessity as we are willing to train the right applicant. This role requires a valid commercial driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all Quarry rules and regulations.
- Assist with maintenance and house keeping of machinery.
- Maintain inspection records.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the team.
- Follow all company policies regarding health & safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a machine operator (Tickets showing competence desirable even if expired but not a necessity.)
- Strong understanding of working safely within the work place.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to perform basic machine maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and managers.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety .
