We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bank Residential Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing essential support to children and young people within residential settings, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. Duties
- Assist children and young people with daily activities, promoting independence and personal development
- Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Support behavioural management strategies in accordance with organisational guidelines
- Engage in meaningful activities that encourage socialisation, learning, and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate records of support provided, behaviour observations, and progress reports
- Foster effective communication with children, colleagues, and external professionals
- Drive organisational vehicles when required to facilitate outings or appointments
- Ensure the safety and security of all residents within the residential environment at all times
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or within childcare settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of child development principles and behavioural management techniques
- Experience in implementing care plans and supporting personalised care approaches
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- IT literacy skills for maintaining accurate documentation and completing reports efficiently
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism
