We are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in Wandsworth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional to take the next step in their career within a supportive, child-focused nursery that values staff wellbeing, development and progression.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring high standards of care and education
- Act as a Key Person for a group of children and support colleagues with their key children
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Complete observations, assessments and learning journals to monitor children's progress
- Support, mentor and motivate practitioners within the room
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
- Promote a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are adhered to at all times
Requirements
✔ Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
✔ Previous experience working as a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner
✔ Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✔ A passion for supporting children to learn and develop
✔ Right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available
