Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a Personal Assistant (2 hours per week) for a young person with Autism. Applicants must be a driver and have their own means of transport to be able to take the young person to and from activities. A Personal Assistant works directly with one or more individuals to support them with various aspects of their daily life so that they can live it in a way they choose. You will be employed directly by the family of the person who needs care and support.
The Personal Assistant will be required to support the young person in building their independence and social skills, facilitating and escorting to activities (to be agreed with the family) and to support the young person in pursuing their hobbies and interests.
Previous experience in working with or being around children who have Autism is essential for this role. Training will be provided, if required, in areas such as Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Manual Handling and Autism Awareness. A full enhanced DBS check will be required prior to starting with the family and will be provided.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and ideally live in Halton and the surrounding boroughs.
Hours - 2 hours per week with availability to collect the young person from school at 3pm and possibly weekend hours.
