Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hiab Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage various driving conditions, particularly with flatbed vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence (C / C+E) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving flatbed lorries is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety and customer satisfaction is essential.
- ALLMI/CPCS Certification mandatory with experience operating hiab cranes a must
