HGV Class 2 Driver – Refuse & Recycling

Monday to Friday | 6:00am – 3:00pm

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy refuse and recycling operation based in Wandsworth.
This role involves driving a Class 2 vehicle and supporting the collection team with refuse loading duties when required to ensure routes are completed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and professionally
- Carry out daily refuse and recycling collections
- Assist refuse loaders on collection rounds when required
- Complete vehicle and machinery inspections before and after use
- Report defects and maintenance issues promptly
- Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as instructed
- Complete all paperwork accurately and in real time
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness
- Deliver excellent customer service to members of the public and clients
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to undertake refuse loading duties when required
- Reliable, self-motivated and safety-conscious
- Previous waste, recycling or municipal driving experience is desirable but not essential
