We’re looking for a Commis Chef to join our busy, fresh food kitchen at The Barley Mow, a well-loved South Downs village pub.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their chef career or a Commis looking to develop their skills in a quality-driven kitchen using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support chefs across all sections during prep and service
- Assist in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes
- Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards
- Help with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
Requirements:
- Some kitchen experience preferred (training can be provided)
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organised, and a strong team player
- Passion for food and willingness to learn
