- Type: Minimum of 2 shifts per week. Days and / or nights 8am-8pm / 8pm-8am
- Salary: £15 - £16.60 per hour (includes holiday pay accrual)
- Requirements: To be eligible to apply you must have recent UK experience in a complex homecare setting, tracheostomy care and spinal cord injury experience is essential, and hold full right to work in the UK

Your Role
As a Complex Care Assistant with Innovate, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred care to our adult male client who lives at home in South Ockenden.
Our client enjoys 80s and 90s pop culture, including classic films and musical theatre. He also has a passion for great food and vintage cars. We are looking for a charismatic and proactive Care Professional who enjoys building meaningful connections. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging in light-hearted conversation, providing emotional and wellbeing support and bringing a positive, bubbly energy into the home environment.
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries, alongside a confident, compassionate and professional approach to complex care. Skilled clinical support required includes:
- Tracheostomy care
- Cough assist
- Bowel management
- Autonomic dysreflexia
- Catheter care
- Moving and handling
- Personal grooming
- Activities of daily living
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Light housework and meal preparation
You’ll be part of a consistent care team, typically supporting one client at a time in this stable, long-term role.

Who We’re Looking For
- At least 12 months of complex homecare experience including tracheostomy care and spinal cord injury
- Compassionate and nurturing with strong attention detail
- Responsive, professional and reliable
- Excellent communication skills and IT confidence
- Willingness to be part of a family-centred care team
- Hold a clear understanding of safeguarding
- Ability to recognise deterioration in both psychological and physical health
- Driver is not essential as there's great public transport links, however may be required dependent on your home location
