PDI Workshop Supervisor
Location: Long Bennington, Lincolnshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 17:00-02:00
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a PDI Workshop Supervisor to join a busy automotive operation in Long Bennington. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to take the next step into a supervisory role, leading a team responsible for preparing vehicles to manufacturer standards prior to delivery.
The successful candidate will oversee the evening shift operation, ensuring inspections are completed accurately, productivity targets are achieved, and vehicles are prepared to the highest standards.
The Role:
As a PDI Workshop Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting a team of PDI Inspectors on the evening shift
- Ensuring vehicles are inspected and prepared in line with manufacturer and customer standards
- Monitoring workflow and allocating work to maximise productivity
- Supporting the team with technical queries and operational issues
- Ensuring inspection documentation is completed accurately
- Monitoring quality standards and carrying out spot checks where required
- Supporting training and development of team members
- Liaising with management and other departments to ensure operational targets are achieved
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient working environment
- Driving continuous improvement across the workshop operation
The Person:
- Previous experience within an automotive workshop, PDI, inspection, or vehicle preparation environment
- Supervisory or team leader experience is highly desirable
- Good understanding of vehicle inspections and pre-delivery processes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Confident using basic computer systems and handheld devices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Full UK Driving Licence
