Teaching Assistant – Targeted Intervention Support
A supportive and inclusive school in Brent is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately, supporting students with SEN, behavioural needs, and low attainment.
This role will involve leading targeted interventions and providing tailored support to help students engage positively with learning and achieve their potential.
The Role:
- Leading targeted intervention sessions for students with additional needs
- Supporting pupils with SEN, behavioural challenges, and low attainment
- Working with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom
- Assisting teaching staff in creating a supportive learning environment
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback where required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN and behavioural needs
- Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner
- Patient, resilient, and proactive
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in education, mentoring, youth work, or support work is desirable
