Caldor Limited is looking for a skilled Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer with plumbing experience to support our growing portfolio of domestic properties managed by Property Management Companies across the uk
This is a mobile role focused on delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused gas services in tenanted homes and residential blocks.
Your Role Will Include:
- Carrying out planned gas servicing and reactive breakdown repairs in line with current gas safety regulations. Basic plumbing jobs eg changing taps or sink waste.
- Diagnosing and resolving faults on domestic heating systems, boilers, controls, and associated plumbing
- Responding to urgent call-outs, ensuring prompt and professional resolutions for tenants
- Recording all work accurately via PDA to maintain compliance and transparency
- Completing all tasks in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines and operational procedures
- Supporting additional maintenance tasks within your remit
- Participating in an on-call rota (typically 1 in 6) Saturday morning rota
- Delivering excellent customer service and working sensitively in tenants’ homes.
- What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- ACS Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1
- Experience in domestic gas servicing and breakdowns
- Strong understanding of gas regulations and Health & Safety best practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and prioritise tasks
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Additional certifications: LPG, Unvented Hot Water Systems
- Experience working with letting agents or property management companies
- Basic electrical or control system knowledge
- Ashp knowledge
