We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a high standard of patient care, and maintaining a smooth clinical environment. Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised
- Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance and clear communication throughout treatments
- Develop dental radiographs as required, adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Prepare treatment rooms before appointments and clean after procedures to uphold hygiene standards
- Offer post-treatment advice and instructions to patients effectively
- Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare environment is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication with patients and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills to reassure patients and work collaboratively with colleagues
- Basic IT skills for managing digital records and appointment systems
- A caring attitude with a focus on patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times
