Job Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Sevice/Transport Coordinator to join our operations team. This is a fast-paced role that requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to prioritise competing demands, and a strong sense of ownership over your area of responsibility.
As a Service/Transport Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning and coordination of welfare services, maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with customers and drivers, and resolving issues quickly to keep operations running efficiently. You will be trusted to manage your workload independently while working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transport requests and allocate work to the appropriate drivers or sub-contractors.
- Plan, schedule and dispatch transport activities to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
- Take ownership of your allocated area, ensuring all transport activities are accurately planned, monitored and completed.
- Build positive working relationships with customers, drivers and internal teams, providing timely updates and resolving issues professionally.
- Monitor transport schedules and respond proactively to operational changes, delays or customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring all transport documentation and system updates are completed with a high level of accuracy.
- Identify and resolve operational issues quickly, escalating where appropriate while taking responsibility for achieving positive outcomes.
- Complete administrative tasks including data entry, reporting, filing and document management.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics, planning or administrative role is desirable.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, taking responsibility for your workload and seeing tasks through to completion.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make informed decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Accurate data entry and strong IT skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
