Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Joiner / Joiners Mate to join our construction team manufacturing Glamping pods. This role involves working on various building projects, assisting with the fabrication and assembly of structural components, and supporting skilled joiners in delivering high-quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and develop their skills within the construction industry. This is all workshop based.
Duties
- Assisting with the fabrication and assembly of timber and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment
- Supporting skilled joiners with installation of bathrooms and kitchens roofing and cladding materials.
- Handling heavy lifting and manoeuvring materials safely around the yard/workshop
- Assisting with construction painting, plumbing, electrical work, and other trades as required
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers to complete assigned tasks
- Operating power tools safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the team in completing projects on time and to the specified standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in fabrication, carpentry, or joinery is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques
- Experience in roofing, plumbing or electrical work is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong teamwork ethic and good communication skills
- Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual tasks in a construction environment

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
