KITCHEN MANAGER / HEAD CHEF

Full-Time Position
The Parry Lamp is currently looking for a strong, experienced and highly organised Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to take full operational control of our kitchen department and help drive the business forward.
This is not simply a cooking role — we are looking for somebody capable of running, organising, developing and managing the kitchen to a high professional standard while working closely with senior management.
The successful candidate must be able to operate within a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, structure, food quality, stock control and staff accountability at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full day-to-day management of the kitchen operation• Managing all kitchen staff, rotas and shift organisation• Maintaining high food quality, consistency and presentation standards• Full responsibility for kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards• Ensuring full compliance with Environmental Health and Food Safety regulations• Managing food prep systems and service organisation• Stock control, stock rotation and waste reduction• Completing and managing all food orders and supplier relationships• Monitoring GP margins and kitchen profitability• Creating and implementing prep systems, recipe specifications and kitchen procedures• Training and developing kitchen staff• Managing kitchen staffing levels and labour costs• Ensuring all opening and closing procedures are completed properly• Supporting menu development and seasonal menu changes• Ensuring allergens and dietary requirements are handled correctly and professionally• Managing kitchen paperwork, due diligence and HACCP procedures• Working closely with senior management regarding performance, targets and operational improvements• Helping improve food sales, service speed and customer experience• Ensuring the kitchen is organised in a way that allows smooth operation even during staff absence or pressure situations

This role would suit somebody who takes pride in running a kitchen properly and wants to be part of building and improving a growing hospitality business.
Experience:• Kitchen Management / Head Chef experience preferred• Food Hygiene certification required• Hospitality management experience advantageous
