Position Overview: The Supply Chain Account Manager plays a key role in ensuring excellent service delivery across specified customer accounts by overseeing outbound supply chain activity, monitoring performance, and supporting continuous improvement. The role helps strengthen collaboration between internal teams and customers, using analysis and insight to improve service levels, streamline processes, and support successful product launches. In doing so, it contributes to customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall business growth.If you are excited about this role, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities for the Supply Chain Account Manager Role:
- Exceeding customer expectations through excellent customer service
- Monitor outbound supply chain performance across key customer accounts and take action to meet departmental KPIs
- Improve performance to customers through root cause analysis, problem solving andinitiative
- Present service level analysis to stakeholders
- Develop improvement plans to streamline ways of working and create efficiency
- Successful leadership and execution of product launches on branded and private label goods
- Managing and reporting on all aspects of specified accounts including cost to serve
- Reduce costs incurred from discrepancies and debit notes by working with our customers and service providers
- Work alongside demand planners, sales & Commercial to promote engagement
- Attend customer meetings when required
- Provide support to other departments
- Provide training when required
- Ad Hoc tasks as required
Skills for the Supply Chain Account Manager:
- Previous FMCG or operations experience is highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to show initiative
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate Excel skills are essential
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced customer service skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Commercial awareness and understanding are beneficial
