I am currently working with a leading national law firm to recruit a Solicitor into their Commercial Property team,.
This role offers the opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded team handling a varied and high-quality workload for a diverse client base, including utilities and infrastructure clients. The firm is known for its supportive culture, strong training ethos, and commitment to long-term career development.
The Role
You will be a key member of a large commercial property team, supporting complex and high-profile transactions while delivering a consistently high standard of client service. The role combines fee-earning, supervision, and business development responsibilities.
Key duties include:
- Managing and assisting with complex commercial property and networks transactions
- Working collaboratively within a deadline-driven team environment
- Providing clear, practical, and timely legal advice in line with professional and regulatory standards
- Supporting colleagues with matter queries and acting as a quality control point
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying legal risks and providing commercially focused solutions
- Handling correspondence and client enquiries efficiently
- Meeting agreed chargeable hours and financial targets
- Supervising, training, and mentoring paralegals and junior team members
- Reviewing and checking documentation prepared by junior staff
- Contributing to business development, tenders, marketing activity, and client events
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities across the firm
- Maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge and compliance with SRA requirements
About You
To be considered, you will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or MCILEX / FCILEX
- Have a strong commercial property background, ideally with exposure to utilities or infrastructure work
- Be comfortable managing a complex caseload and working under pressure
- Communicate confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Enjoy working collaboratively while also using your own initiative
- Have the ability to support and develop junior team members
- Present a professional and client-focused approach at all times
