We are seeking a dynamic and organised Wedding & Events Coordinator to join our team. This role involves managing a variety of events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or fundraising environments will be advantageous.
Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will become the trusted point of contact for our wedding and event clients, guiding them from their initial enquiry through to the successful delivery of their special day or event
Responsibilities
- Coordinate weddings, celebrations, conferences and private events from enquiry through to completion.
- Build lasting relationships with clients, ensuring every interaction reflects Down Hall’s exceptional standards.
- Conduct professional venue show rounds and client consultations.
- Prepare detailed event documentation and coordinate seamlessly with operational departments.
- Maximise revenue through effective sales conversion, package negotiation and upselling opportunities.
- Ensure all bookings, contracts and event administration are completed accurately.
- Support wedding showcases, menu tastings and promotional events.
- Deliver exceptional service before, during and after every event, ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
Qualifications
- Experience within weddings, events, hospitality sales or event coordination.
- Strong commercial awareness and a natural ability to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional organisational and administrative abilities.
- A polished and professional approach with outstanding attention to detail.
- The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Flexibility to work weekends and peak event periods when required.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail in planning and execution
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Prior experience in guest services or hospitality roles is advantageous but not essential
