An exciting opportunity to join a leading Therapeutic Fostering Agency.
Families First Fostering are looking for a social worker, with experience in Fostering, who is prepared to go the extra mile for the children and foster parents that we support.
We require somebody who is caring and understanding, somebody who values the importance of quality support, and who understands the outcomes that this brings to children and foster parents. We want somebody who has knowledge of therapeutic parenting or who is willing to learn.
The work that you will undertake will be largely within the West Midlands area of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire East and caseloads are significantly low (around 8 families per SSW) in acknowledgement of the support and supervision that our foster parents receive.
We have two welcoming offices one in Stone, Staffordshire and one in Bilston, Wolverhampton that staff are welcome to work from in addition to the flexibility to work from home. There will be an expectation that staff attend the offices at least twice per month for team meetings and foster parent groups.

Requirements:
- A Social Work qualification/Degree (Essential)
- Full driving licence and use of a vehicle (Essential)
- Experience within the fostering field of work and evidence of having undertaken safeguarding work (Desirable)
- Professional registration with Social Work England (Essential)
- An ability to demonstrate effective multi-agency practice and an understanding of where the role of the supervising social worker fits within this
- A working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
- A passion for supporting children and families therapeutically
- Participation in the out of hours duty rota
Salary dependent upon experience and inclusive of £2500 car allowance.
Additional payments made for Out of Hours duty.
