Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and engaging with patrons in a lively environment. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred, along with a good understanding of food safety standards and responsible serving practices. The successful applicant will be organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and recipes
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
- Ensure all drinks are served safely, adhering to legal alcohol service regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Manage stock levels and assist with inventory checks as needed
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food safety and hygiene standards
Experience
- Previous experience working in a hospitality environment, particularly in bars or restaurants, is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations applicable to the hospitality industry
- Proven ability to serve responsibly and handle challenging situations professionally
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Familiarity with serving techniques and cocktail preparation is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour
