What You’ll Be Doing
As one of our valued HGV Drivers, you’ll be a key face of our business, delivering friendly, professional and reliable service to our customers. Your role will include:
· Providing excellent service on every visit and safely operating shredding and weighing equipment
· Completing daily vehicle checks and maintenance logs
· Following job instructions accurately, including weighing and counting materials
· Driving responsibly at all times, following all DVLA and VOSA regulations
· Making sure your vehicle is equipped with the correct tools, equipment and PPE
· Completing paperwork clearly and accurately
· Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained
· Reporting any incidents or concerns straight away
· Ensuring vehicle security at all times
· Working safely and responsibly, including completing H&S documentation
· Carrying out some manual handling and lifting as part of the role
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you bring skill, reliability and a positive approach to your work. We’re looking for:
· HGV Class 2 licence with at least 2 years’ experience
· Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety
· Good knowledge of UK road regulations
· Valid CPC and Tacho Card
· A clean driving licence
· Good communication and customer‑focused approach
· Strong organisational and time‑management skills
· A proactive, can‑do attitude with the ability to use your initiative
· Basic IT skills
· Understanding of health & safety (preferred but not essential)
· Willingness to occasionally work away from home (including overnight stays)
