Pay Rate: £13.35 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 off / 4 nights on, 4 off
Hours: 07:00 – 19:00 & 19:00 – 07:00 (12-hour shifts)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for reliable and hardworking Bale Dressers to join our team at a busy waste management and recycling facility in Hartlepool. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring that recyclable materials are processed, sorted, and packed efficiently and safely.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Baler Operation: Safely operate and maintain the baling machinery to compact recyclable materials into high-density blocks ready for stacking, loading, and transport.
- Sorting & Baling: Efficiently sort and process recyclable materials before and during the baling process.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials closely to ensure bales contain the correct recyclables, removing any non-compliant materials or contaminants.
- Bale Management: Monitor operations to ensure proper bale weight, density, and binding meet site standards.
- Stock & Storage: Assist the wider team with sorting and organizing processed bales for safe storage and collection.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience working within a recycling facility, manufacturing, or a heavy production environment is highly beneficial, though full training will be provided.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot contamination and ensure strict quality control standards are met.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and fully committed to a 4-on, 4-off day and night shift rotation.
- Physical Fitness: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that involves standing, manual handling, and general warehouse duties.
